We’re hiring for the Martech team at JustWatch, which is the combination of Marketing and Technology. We focus on building our marketing automation tools that help our campaign managers save them time, automating their work, and even offering them possibilities that the marketing world does not yet have. In addition, we also help other departments of the company by bringing them automation tools and facilitating their work, such as finance or sales.
What we need from you
Several years of experience in areas where technology meets marketing, especially in the realm of AdTech, MarTech. DSP, SSP, DMP, or even CDP terms shouldn’t be foreign to you. What matters is the depth - you should understand how certain pixels on a website or SDK in an app translate to audiences, and what challenges are along that path, especially in the direction of server-side tracking.
You’ve successfully executed campaigns on Meta, Google (DV360), TikTok, Snapchat or similar ecosystems. You understand how campaigns evolve over their runtime in terms of pressure, reach, frequency, creative fatigue and how to utilize and fight these aspects.
Familiarity with technology. Not just headlines, but knowing what an API is, being able to navigate Figma designs, build a basic SQL query for data exploration, even open a codebase and look for a certain term or inspect the code of a website and network request to verify whether tracking works correctly.
You’ve successfully shipped a product from start to end, and understood the business side of the product. Working against arbitrary KPIs isn’t enough; everyone at JustWatch is fully exposed to the business metrics. Along the way, you’ve probably failed once or twice and can talk about the learnings from such mistakes. What are some of the things you will be doing
First and foremost, use and develop the product. We are not a good fit for someone who wants to be hands off and manage things from a distance. That is both on our end (DSP) and on the consumer side (social media).
Structure the work and work against deadlines to ship features while keeping the tooling overhead minimal. Work with essentials like Google Sheets, Docs and Slack to get the job done. Content is important for us, not the tools to deliver it.
Define and watch metrics that measure the success of our tools via our BI stack (Snowflake, Lightdash) as well as our infrastructure monitoring stack (Prometheus). You need to be on top of issues before they even appear.
Thoroughly test our releases, on your own and then with the help of stakeholders. Understand that our media business is running at all times and issues don’t only happen between 9-5. We always have to be ready to jump in and fix problems. What we offer
