As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the DevOps approach within an organization. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between development and operations teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient delivery of high-quality software products. You should know how to design, implement, and maintain tools and processes for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD) of software using various cloud platforms. The primary goal is to automate repetitive tasks, reduce manual intervention, and improve the overall user experience, quality, and reliability of software.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain CI/CD pipeline, and maintain continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD) process using tools like Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and address bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations.
  • Automate, manage, and optimise the deployment and infrastructure of applications on public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Monitor and manage infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
  • Choose the best tools and technologies that fit the business needs.
  • Lead platform upgrade/migration independently.
  • Manage stakeholders and mentor junior software developers in gaining experience while assuming DevOps responsibilities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, then utilise them to enhance the software infrastructure.
  • Qualifications:

  • BE/ME/MCA or any other degree in a related field.
  • 3-7 years of relevant DevOps experience.
  • Knowledge of IBM z/OS and Job Control Language (JCL), assembler, REXX
  • knowledge on IBM Dependency Based Build (DBB)
  • Hands-on experience with various DevOps concepts and tools like Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD), Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory/Nexus.
  • Experiential learning on Infrastructure as Code tools (like Terraform, Ansible).
  • Practical experience in building, designing, and maintaining cloud-based applications with AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with container & container orchestration tools like Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of shell scripting and any other programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Implemented monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana for monitoring infrastructure.
  • Experience working on Linux-based infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • This is a hybrid role and will require 1-2 days a week in office.
