The YouVersion Team Leader of Creative is responsible for driving the creative direction for YouVersion. This leader will collaborate across teams to ensure the mission is reflected in all creative outputs and that the story of how God is moving through YouVersion is communicated in a compelling, impactful way. The YTL of Creative will lead to inspire the team while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality creative content that resonates with our diverse global audience. The YouVersion Team Leader is responsible for casting vision, providing direction, and leading ministry efforts within their teams to outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ.

YouVersion was created by the local church in 2007 and remains a ministry of Life.Church today. At Life.Church, our mission is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Our team is committed to reaching people worldwide through innovative technology. And YouVersion is one of the ways we get to do that. Life.Church is a multi-site Christian church meeting in the United States and globally at Life.Church Online.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead YouVersion Creative team.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive creative strategy that aligns with YouVersion’s mission and objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the creative team, fostering an environment that encourages collaboration, creative innovation, and continuous growth while ensuring the team produces high-quality creative.
  • Champion YouVersion's brand identity, ensuring consistency and integrity across all platforms and materials.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends, technologies, and cultural shifts, ensuring YouVersion remains at the forefront of creative innovation.
  • Lead Creative team initiatives and objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to transform strategic objectives into compelling creative solutions that drive engagement, align with organizational goals, and bring bold ideas to life ensuring all creative deliverables are guided by clear objectives and effectively achieve the intended outcomes.
  • Oversee the creation of campaigns and digital content that is visually engaging and leads the Community to a clear next step.
  • Oversee the creation of campaign assets, social media content, videos, and more to support outreach efforts, user engagement, and brand awareness campaigns.
  • Manage the creative team’s resources, ensuring they are allocated effectively while maintaining the highest quality of work.
  • Skills Needed to Succeed

  • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts clearly and persuasively to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
  • Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.
  • Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others.
  • Strong understanding of branding, marketing strategies, and campaign development, particularly in the digital and mobile app space.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret key marketing metrics and assess creative performance based on metrics.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in creative leadership, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects, including digital, print, and video content.
  • Expertise in design principles, creative direction, and user-centered design processes.
  • Experience with creative tools and software(Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.).
  • Experience in the non-profit sector or with faith-based organizations preferred.
  • Familiarity with app development or UX/UI design principles preferred.
  • Experience working in a global, and diverse environment preferred.
