We are a remote friendly, global team, but provide the option of working in-office in New York City, Sioux Falls, Porto, Lisbon, and Singapore. A successful member of this team would help bridge business and technical uses of data, creating an easy to use platform for Data and Data Tooling for Engineering, Reporting, Analytics, and Data Science use-cases. This team is responsible for the creation of large scale data system for storing and analyzing traditional financial Data as well as cryptocurrency and market data.

We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the team.

Technical Skills:

  • Drive data architectural patterns and platform design.
  • Build and Maintain ELT models for creating warehouses and usable Data sets.
  • Build and Maintain Data Platform cloud infrastructure.
  • Complexity and Impact of Work:

  • Lead adoption of Data hygiene and Data best practices.
  • Manage large scale data sets in both streaming and batch.
  • Organizational Knowledge:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create an ecosystem for shared consciousness.
  • Communication and Influence

  • Contribute to analytical design patterns
  • You may be a fit for this role if you:

  • Experience processing a variety of data sources: SQL, PubSub, API-based, Event-sourced state into warehoused data sets.
  • Expertise in translating business use cases into data models to support analysis.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and data services (GCP, AWS, Azure) and data tooling.
  • The ability to move quickly and pivot as business needs and conditions change.
  • Although not a requirement, bonus points if:

  • Experience with automated metadata management.
  • Experience with lineage management.
